Copywriting, Direct Marketing

Jodi’s marketing career started at DBM (the world’s largest outplacement company). Challenged to reach milestones in knowledge of marketing, desktop publishing, and graphics software in 6 months, Jodi did it in 3, earning a promotion and a raise. She wrote and designed brochures and promotional letters, developed direct mail campaigns, managed marketing projects, and established a promotion tracking system.

Jodi later moved on to EIU (a division of The Economist) where she successfully promoted high-end b-to-b newsletters, business conferences, and research reports. Her experience also includes creating web site content, and managing direct mail and e-mail marketing campaigns for The Direct Marketing Association, and the IAB — with consistently high or record-breaking results.

Insight
Jodi learned to read at age 3 by watching an English as a Second Language program on PBS. She’s been a fast learner and a self-starter ever since.
